AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADDING
SECTION 4241 TO THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO PROHIBITING SWIMMING
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 4241 is added to the Newport Beach
Municipal Code to read-,
"SECTION 4241,. Hazardous Area. Swimming Prohibited.
No person shall enter, swim, surf, wa e, at a or uive in
or into that area of the Pacific Ocean lying between the
West Jetty and a line parallel to and 200 yards westerly
of the West Jetty and between the shoreline and a line
parallel to and 200 yards seaward from the shoreline,"
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in the
official newspaper of the.City, and the same shall be effective 30
days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced.at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of.Newport ea h held on the day of
19628 and was�adepted on the day of La �c�
