WHEREAS, pursuant S/ to " the Previ I tons of an act of the Legislature Of the State of California, known as the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act Of 1939",. the City of Newport Beach Instituted proceedings far the an- nexation of certain uninhabited territory contiguous to the City Of Newport Beach and designated as "Annexation No. 54 ", and which Is hereinafter more Particularly described; and WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has determined in accordance with the Annexetlan ef' Uninhabited Territory Act Of 1939 the ownership Of the property In the Stare said territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, the owners of more than two - thirds of the value of the property in the said territory have flied written consent with the City Clerk of me City of Newport Beach Prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, whereby consent was given to the annnxauan mry no sualectea to taxa- tion after annexation equally with Preuerty in the City of Newport Beach to Pay any indebtedness and liabilities of the City of Newport Beach Out standing, contracted, autharired, or ex. bring Prier to Or at the time of annexa- tion; and WHEREAS, the City Council, by the adoption Of a resolution within ten days after the hearing an Protests in the annexation was finally adl.unned, has found and declared that a majority Protest to the annexilm, was net made: an WHEREAS, it appears that the necer sary Proceedings relating in anmxrlion have been conducted strictly in accord- ance with the law; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Coun.
