AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AIfiENDING SECTIONS 9103,01, 9103011, 9103.21, and 9103,31 OF ARTICLE IX OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE, A ENTITLED PLANNING AND ZONING The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does ordain as follows: !SECTION 1, Section 9103.01 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is amended to read: "SECTION 9103.01. Uses Permitted: (a) Single family dwellings, (b) Light farming, except commercial dairies, com- mercial kennels, commercial rabbit, fox, goat or hog farms, or commercial poultry ranches, (c) Accessory uses normally incidental to a single family dwelling or light farming. This is not to be con - strued as permitting any commercial use. (d) One unlighted sign, not over two O square feet in area, to advertise the lease, rental or sale of the property solely by the owner, Such sign may show only the name, address, and telephone number of the owner but. shall not show the name, address, telephone number, or any other description or identification of any person, firm or corporation other than the owner of said property." SECTION 2. Section 9103.11 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is amended to read: "SECTION 9103.11, Uses.,.Permitted: (a) Single family dwellings.. (b) One accessory building only if constructed si- multaneously with or subsequent to the main building on the same lot or building site. (c) Accessory uses normally incidental to single family dwellings. This is not to be construed as permit - ting commercial uses, (d) One unlighted sign, not over tu,� (:Z square feet in area, to advertise the lease, rental or sale of the property solely by the owner. Such sign may show only the name., address, and telephone number of the owner but shall not show the name, address, telephone number, or any other description or identification of any person, firm or corporation other than the owner of said property," SECTION 3. Section 9103.21 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is amended to read: • tiv- r ya: "SECTION 9103.21. Uses Permitted: (a) Single family dwellings. (b) Two detached single family dwellings or one duplex. (c) Accessory uses normally incidental to single family dwellings or duplexes. This is not to be con- strued as permitting any commercial uses. (d) One unlighted sign, not over two (": square feet in area,, to advertise the lease, rental or sale of the property solely by the owner. Such sign may show only the name, address, and telephone number of the owner but shall not show the name, address, telephone number, or any other description or identification of any person, firm or corporation other than the owner of said property." SECTION 4. Section 9103.31 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is amended to read: "SECTION 9103.31. Uses Permitted: (a) Single family dwellings and duplexes. (b) Multiple dwellings, apartment houses and dwelling groups. (c) Unlighted signs, not over two (2) square feet in area, to advertise the lease, rental or sale of the prop- erty solely by the owner. Such signs may show only the name, address, and telephone number of the owner but shall not show the name, address, telephone number, or any other description or identification of any person, firm or cor- poration other.than the owner of said property." SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of'the City, and the same shall be effective 30 days.after the date of its adoption. This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 25th da of Anril , 1966, and was adopted on the 9th day of May , 1966, by the following vote, to wit: AYES, COUNCILMENg Parsons, Marshall, Gruber, Cook, Forgit, Shelton NOES, COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT COUNCILdMNg Rogers ATTEST: �r np.w City Clerk ayor 2.
