ORDINANCE NO. 1252
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ESTABLISHING SETBACK LINES, -AND AMENDING
DISTRICT. MAP NO..12.
• The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does ordain
as follows
SECTION 1. District Map No. 12, referred to in Section
20.06.030 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code and made a part of
Title 20 of said Code by reference, is amended and building set-
back lines are hereby established for the hereinafter described
real property in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange,
State of California, as follows:
The building setback line for Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Block
27 of the East Side Addition to Balboa Tract, as per
map recorded in Book 4, Page 20 of Miscellaneous Maps
in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County
and Block R of the Bay Front Section of Balboa Tract,
as per map recorded. in Book 6, page 15 of Miscellaneous
Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Orange
County, shall be a straight line in Block 27 as said
Block 27 is shown upon a map of the East Side Addition
to Balboa Tract, as per map recorded in Book 4, Page 20
of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the County
• Recorder of Orange County, California, extending from
a point in the easterly line of "J" Street as shown
upon said map; said point being located 20 feet
southerly of the northwest corner of said Block 27 to
a point in the easterly line of Lot 3 as shown upon said
map, said point being located ll.feet southerly of the
northerly line of said Block 27.
The building setback line for Lots 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Block
27 of the East Side Addition to Balboa Tract, as per
map recorded in Book 4, Page 20 of Miscellaneous Maps in
the office of the County Recorder of Orange County and
Block R of the Bay Front Section of Balboa Tract, as,
per map recorded in.Book 6, page 15 of Miscellaneous
Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Orange
County, shall be a straight line in Block 27 as said
Block 27 is shown upon a map of the East Side Addition
to Balboa Tract, as per map recorded in Book 4, Page
20 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the County
Recorder of Orange County, California, extending from a
point in the easterly lot line, of Lot 3 as shown on
said map; said point being located 14 feet southerly
of the northern line of Block 27 to a point in the
Westerly line of "K" Street as shown upon said map,
said point being located 2 feet southerly of the north-
east corner of Block 27.
SECTION 2. The Planning Director of the City of New-
port Beach is hereby instructed and directed to change District
Map No. 12 so as to show the building setback lines established

in Section 1 hereof, and, as said District Map shall have been
so amended, the same shall remain in force and effect and be a
part of Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective
30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 27th day
of May , 1968, and was adopted on the 10th day of
June 1968, by the following vote, to wit:
