AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 7.16.050 OF TITLE 7 OF THE
NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE FOR
AN INCREASE IN ANIMAL IMPOUNDMENT FEES
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 7.16.050 of the Newport Beach Muni-
cipal Code is amended to read:
"7.16.050 Impoundment Fees. .The impounding fee for each
dog impounded under the terms of this Code shall be Five
Dollars ($5.00); the impounding fee for any cat, bird, fowl,
or any other animal not otherwise herein provided shall be
Two Dollars ($2.00). There shall be a penalty impound fee for
any'Animal that is impounded more than once within a period
of twelve consecutive months of fifty percent.(50 %) of all
prior impound fees plus the regular fee of Five Dollars ($5.00)
for each dog and Two Dollars ($2.00) for each cat, bird, fowl,
or other animal."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in the
official newspaper of the City and the same shall be effective
30 days after the date of adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 22nd day of
June 1970, and was adopted on the 13th day of
July 1970, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: McInnis, Kylnla,
Rogers, Hirth, Croul, Dostal, Parsons
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
