ORDINANCE NO. 1574
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
REZONING PROPERTY AND AMENDING DISTRICTING
MAP NO. 5 (PLANNING AMENDMENT 433)
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The following described real property in
the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
to wit:
Those portions of lots Park Z, 1, 2 and 3 of the
First Addition to Newport Heights as recorded in
Book 4, Page 94, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, lying southerly of that certain
line described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection-of the Northerly
Right -of -Way Line of Avon Street with the South-
easterly Right -of -Way Line of Santa Ana Avenue;
thence proceeding Northeasterly along said Right -
of -Way line of Santa Ana Avenue a distance of
140' to the True Point of Beginning; thence pro-
ceeding Easterly along a line running parallel to
the Northerly Right -of -Way line of Avon to an
intersection with the prolongation of a line
running parallel to and a distance of 100'
Southerly of the Southerly Right -of -Way line
of Cliff Drive; thence along said prolongation
and said line to an intersection with the Easterly
lot line of Lot 3, First Addition to Newport
Heights,
as shown on Districting Map No. 5, referred to in Section 20.06.030
of the Newport Beach Municipal Code, and by such reference made a
part of Title 20 of said Code, is hereby rezoned from the R -3
District to an R -1 District, and said Districting Map No. 5
is hereby amended to show this zoning change.
SECTION 2. The Community Development Director of the
City of Newport Beach is hereby instructed and directed to change
Districting Map No. 5 so as to show the zoning changes described
in Section 1 hereof, and, as said Districting Map shall have been
so amended, the same shall be in full force and effect and be a
0 part of Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once in

the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was intorduced at a regular meeting of
• the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
24th day of June , 1974, and was adopted on the
8th day of _ July 1974, by the following vote, to
wit:
