AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING CHAPTER 7.15 ENTITLED "FOWL" TO
TITLE 7 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 7.15 is added to the Newport
Beach Municipal Code to read:
"CHAPTER 7.15
FOWL
Sections
7.15.010 Birds
1.15.020 Pigeons
7.15.030 Violation an Infraction
7.15.010 Birds. No person shall keep or maintain
in a cage or aviary out -of -doors within any residential
district in the City of Newport Beach any wild fowl or
game bird except parakeets, canaries or similar size
domesticated birds without first obtaining a permit from
the City Manager as provided in Section 7Zq.040 of the
Newport Beach Municipal Code.
7.15.020. Pigeons. No person shall keep, maintain
or have in his possession within any residential district
in the City of Newport Beach any homing or racing pigeons
without first obtaining a permit from the City Manager
as provided in Section 7.08.040 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code.
7.15.030 Violation an Infraction. It shall be
unlawful for any person to violate any provisions or to
• fail to comply with any of the requirements of this
Chapter. Any person violating any of the provisions or

failing to comply with any of the requirements of this
Chapter shall be guilty of an infraction."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
13th
day
of
June
1977,and
was
adopted on the
27th
day
of
June _
1977
by
the
following vote,
to wit:
