ORDINANCE NO. 1781
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING SECTION 2.12.105 TO THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING THE UTILITIES
DEPARTMENT
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2.12.105 is added to the Newport
Beach Municipal Code to read:
112.12.105 Utilities Department. The Utilities
Department shall be under the supervision of the Utilities
Director. The functions of the Utilities Department shall
include:
(a) Maintenance and operation of City water
system;.
(b) Maintenance and operation of City sewer
system;
(c) Maintenance and operation of City street
lighting system and the maintenance of electrical
equipment in City buildings;
(d) Engineering planning for water, sewer and
electrical systems."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective
thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 28th
day of August , 1978, and was adopted on the 11th day
of September , 1978, by the following vote, to wit:
