AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SECTION
1.12.020(5) OF THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO AUTHORITY
OF LICENSE SUPERVISOR AND INSPECTORS TO
• ISSUE CITATIONS.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby
40 ordain as follows:
Section 1: Section 1.12.020(5) of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 1.12.020 Authoritv of Public Officers or EmDloyees to
Issue Citations.
The following designated public officers and employees shall
have the power to issue citations for violations of the provisions
of this Code (either as a misdemeanor or infraction ) hereinafter
provided:
(5) The License Supervisor and all License Inspectors shall
have the power to issue citations for any violation of Title 5 of
this code, entitled "Business Licenses and Regulations," Title 6
of this Code
entitled
"Health and Sanitation," Title 10 of
this
Code entitled
"Offenses
and Nuisances," and shall have the
power
to issue citations for violations of Section 12.40.060 of this
Code entitled "Parking for Certain Purposes Prohibited"r. Chanter
12.62 of this Code entitled "Temnorary Street Closure" and Chapter
12.63 of this Code entitled "Commercial Refuse Bins."
Section 2: All other provisions of Section 1.12.020 of the
Newport Beach Municipal Code shall remain the same and be in full
force and effect.
Section 3: The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall
attest to the passage of this Ordinance. The City Clerk shall
cause the same to be published once in the official newspaper
within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
Section 4: This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
• of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
9th day of
May
1988,
and
adopted on the 23rd day of
May , 1988,
by the
