AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADDING SECTIONS
7.06.020 AND 7.16.070 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO
PENALTIES FOR ANIMAL CONTROL VIOLATIONS.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby
ordain as follows:
Section 1: Section 7.06.020 Beach Municipal Code shall be
added to read as follows:
Section 7.06.020. Penaltv. It shall be unlawful for any
person to violate or fail to comply with the provisions of Section
7.06.010 of this Code. Any person violating or failing to comply
with any of the provisions of said Section shall be guilty of an
infraction.
Any person convicted of violating or failing to comply with any
of the provisions of said Section shall be punishable by the
fines as is specified in the currently adopted Uniform Infraction
Bail Schedule used by the Orange County Municipal Courts.
Section 2: Section 7.16.070 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code shall be added to read as follows:
Section 7.16.070. Penalty. It shall be unlawful for any
person to violate or fail to comply with the provisions of Section
7.16.010 of this Code. Any person violating or failing to comply
with any of the provisions of said Section shall be guilty of an
infraction.
Any person convicted of violating or failing to comply with any
of the provisions of said Section shall be punishable by the fines
as is specified in the currently adopted Uniform Infraction Bail
Schedule used by the Orange County Municipal Courts.
Section 3: The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall
attest to the passage of this Ordinance. The City Clerk shall
cause the same to be published once in the official newspaper
within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.

Section 4: This 'Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 12th
day of June , 1989, and adopted on the 26th day of June ,
1989, by the following vote, to -wit:
