AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING CHAPTER 15.03 TO THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT THE UNIFORM HOUSING
CODE, 1991 EDITION
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 15.03 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is adopted
to read:

HOUSING CODE
Section:
15.03.010 Adoption of Uniform Housing Code.
15.03.010 Adoption of the Uniform Housing Code. The City Council adopts
and incorporates by reference, as though set forth in full in this Chapter the
1991 edition of the "Uniform Housing Code" as published by the International
Conference of Building Officials.
The various parts of this code shall constitute and be known as the Newport
Beach "Housing Code ". A copy of the 1991 Uniform Housing Code, printed in code
book form shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 2: That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of
this ordinance is, for any reason, held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
decision shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the remaining
portions of this ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have
passed this ordinance, and each section, subsection, clause or phrase hereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences,
clauses and phrases be declared unconstitutional.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of
the City, and the same shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its
adoption.
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
•the City of Newport Beach held on the 11th day of May . 1992
and was adopted on the 8th day of June 1992, by the following
vote to wit:
