Thank you for your call regarding the hearing scheduled for this Thursday, August 20,
2009, regarding the pending parcel map for the Moriarty residence, listed as Item No. 2 on the
Planning Commission's pending agenda. It is my understanding that the applicant, Mr.
Moriarty, has requested a continuance of the item, pending efforts he has undertaken with my
client, Carla Brockman, the City, and the County to craft a global solution to what amount to
years -long issues regarding access over the Birch Street extension area.
I am writing to communicate my client's support for the requested continuance by Mr.
Moriarty. While our progress on the issues we are working on has been slow, it is steady, and
we are closer to resolving all issues on these properties than we have been at any time in the past.
In order to allow this process the time it apparently requires to proceed, my client supports the
requested continuance.
This letter will serve as my client's only appearance at the hearing. Thank you for your
consideration.
