DISCUSSION
In an effort to adequately respond to the Planning Commission's comments received at
the November 3, 2005 meeting, as well as to consider the draft Airport Area Land Use
Policies of the General Plan Update, the applicant has requested a continuance of a
minimum of 60 days. The item may tentatively be scheduled for the February 9, 2006
Planning Commission meeting. The applicant's request for continuance has been
attached for reference.

Sharon and City officials, I am writing on behalf of our client, Brookfield Homes
Southland, to respectfully request a continuance of not less than 60 days from
December 8, 2005, for Planning Commission continued consideration of the subject
General Plan Amendment, Zone Change, Traffic Study, and the accompanying
environmental document.
Brookfield officials and their consultant professionals are continuing with their
efforts to respond to Planning Commission comments, as well as the recently published
draft planning criteria for The Airport Area included within the General Plan Update
process.
