RESOLUTION NO. 7
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Newport Beach to require the Grading of Central Avenue from
the intersection of the Extended East line of Twenty - Second
Street and Newport Avenue to the East line of Eighteenth Stree,
in said City, that the same shall conform to the official
�rade of said Central Avenue, as established by Section 4 of
rdinance No. 30 of the City of Newport Beach.

THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES of the City of 1"ewport Beach do hereby
Resolve and Declare that the public interests and convenience
require, and that it is the intention of the said Board of Trustee;
to order the following named street work to be done, to wit:
That Central Avenue, between the intersections of the extended
East line of Twenty - second Street and Newport Avenue, and the
East line of Eighteenth Street, in the City of Newport Beach
shall be graded so that said Central Avenue, between said intersec-
tion and said Eighteenth Street, shall conform to the official
grade of said Central Avenue, as established by Section 4 of
Ofdinanee numbered 30 of the City of Newport Beach; and that
said Central avenue, between said points, shall be surfaced with
a crown of earth, six inches thick, and oiled; the surface thereof
to conform to sectional plans to be furnished by the City engineer,
And it is hereby further Resolved that the Clerk of the City
of Newport Beach shall, and he is hereby directed to post this
Resolution, conspicuously for two days on or near the door of
the Council Uhamber of the Board of Trustees of said Cityl
And it is hereby further Resolved that, whereas there is no
daily, semi - weekly or weekly newspaper published at or within
the City of Newport Beach, the City Clerk of said City shall and
he is hereby directed to cause copies of this Resolution to be
printed and posted, and kept so posted, for the period of two
successive weeks, in three of the most public places in said City.
And it is hereby further Resolved that the Superintendent of
Streets of the City of Newport Beach shall, and he is hereby

directed to cause to be posted, conspicuously, along the line of
said contemplated street work or improvement, at not more than
one hundred feet in distance apart, but not less than three
in all, notices of the passage of this Resolution; said
notices shall be headed: "NOTICE OF STREET WORK," in letters of
not less than one inch in length, and in legible characters;
which notices shall state the fact of the passage of this Resolu-
tion, its date, and briefly the w rk or improvement proposed, and
shall refere to this Resolution for further particulars. Andaa11��
the said Superintendent of Streets shall cause a notice simi�akr
insubstance to the foregoing to be prmnted, and posted for six
days, on or near the door of the Council Chamber of the Board of
Trustees of said City, and in two other conspicuous places in said
City; there being no daily, semi - weekly or weekly newspaper
ptd ished therein.

this 7 day of December, 1907 by the following named vote, to -wit
