COPY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 13 COPY
A RESOLUTION of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach
declaring its intention of closing, abandoning and vacating certai.
street in the City of Newport Beach, describing the work to be
done or improvement to be made, the land deemed necessary to be
taken therefor and specifying the exterior boundaries of the dis-
trict of lands to be effected or benefited by said work or im-
provement and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and ex-
penses thereof; directing the posting and publication . of notices
according to law and designating the newspaper in which said pub-
lication shall be made.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do
hereby resolve and declare as follows : -
SECTION 1: RESOLVED: That the public interest and con-
venience require and that it istthe intention of the Board of
Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, to order the following
work to be done or improvement to be made, which work or improve-
ment is described as follows : - That the herein after describe
portion of 28th and 30th Streets in the City of Newport Beach, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 4, page 21 of miscellaneous map
recordq, Orange County, California, be closed, vacated and aban-
doned, which portion of said 28th and 30th Streets, shown on said
map, by this Resolution of Intention to be abandoned are described
as follows:-
Commencing at the northwesterly corner of Lot Fifteen (15)
in Block Two Hundred Twenty -five (225) of Section A, Newport
Beach, as per map thereof recorded in Book 4 page 21 of Miscel-
laneous Maps, Records of Orange County,'California, running thence
Northwesterly on the east side of the County Road 30.35 feet;
thence east 66.45 feet; thence southwesterly 59.10 feet to the
point of beginning .
Commencing on the southerly line of Lot One (1) in Block
Two Hundred Twenty -six (226) of Section A, Newport Reach, as per
map thereof recorded in Book 4 page 21 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County at point of intersection with the
northerly line of 28th Street, as shown on a map of Lancaster's
Addition to Newport Beach recorded in Book 5 page 14 of Miscel-
laneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California ' running thence
northeasterly on the southerly line of said Lot One (1) to the
southeasterly corner thereof; thence at right angles Southeasterly
to the North line of 28th Street as shown on said map of Lancaster's
Addition; thence Westerly to the point of beginning.
Commencing at the point of intersection of the southerly
line of 30th Street as shown on a map of Section A, Newport Beach,
recorded in Book 4 page 21 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California, with the westerly line of Block Three
Hur�red Thirty -one (331) of Lancaster's Addition to Newport Beach,
as per map thereof recorded in Book 5 page 14 of Miscellaneous Map,,
Records of Orange County, California, running thence Northeasterly

to the northeast corner of Lot Twelve (12) in Block Two Hundred
Twenty -six (226) in said Section A, thence at right angles North-
westerly to the south line of Alley in said Block 331; thence
westerly along the south line of said Alley to the north line of
30th Street as shown on said map of Lancaster's Addition; thence
Southeasterly to.the west line of said Block 331; thence south-
erly to the point of betinning.
SECTION 2: RESOLVED: That no land is deemed necessary to
be taken therefor.
SECTION 3: RESOLVED: That the exterior.boundaries of the
district of lands to be effected or benefited by said work or im-
provement and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs or expenses
thereof are hereby designated and specified as follcws, to -wit;-
Commencing at a point where the Easterly line of the
County Road intersects the southerly line of 28th Street as
shown on a map of Section A, Newport Beach, recorded in Book
4 page 21 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California, running thence northerly along the easterly line
of said County Road 400 feet to the northerly line of 30th Street;
thence at right angles easterly 100 feet; thence southerly,
parallel with said County Road 400 feet to the southerly line
of 28th Street, thence westerly 100 feet to the point of be-
ginning.
SECTION 4: RESOLVED: That the Street Superintendent
shall cause to be posted along the line of said contemplated
work or improvement, at not more than 300 feet in distance
apart but not less than three in all, notices of the passage of
this Resolution. Said notices shall be headed "Notices of Public
Work" in letters of not less than one inch in length, and shall,
in legible characters state the fact of the passage of this Res -
olution, its date, and briefly the work or improvement proposed
and shall refer to this Resolution for further particulars.
SECTION 5: RESOLVED that whereas there is no daily news-
paper published and circulated in the City of Newport Beach,
the Street Superintendent shall, therefore9 cause a notice similar
in substance to be published by four successive insertions in
the Newport News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in
the City of Newport Beach, which Newport News is hereby desig-
nated for that purpose.

2 was passed and adopted the 6th day of June, A. D. 19G8, at a

3 regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport
4 Beach by the following vote, to -wit:-
5 AYES; Jos. Ferguson, F. W. Beckwith, John McMillan, A. N. Smith
and C. A. Barton

The foregoing Resolution of Intention is hereby approved
