RESOLUTION NO. 21-A
There are two resolutions numbered 21.

A resolution of the Board of Trustees of the city of New-
port Beach, declaring its intetnion to order certain work done
or improvement made in and upon 25th St., a public street in the
City of Newport Beach.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, do
resolve and declare that it is the intention of said Board of
Trustees to order the following work done or improvement made:
That 25th Street a public street in the City of Newport
Beach commencing at the North curb line of Ocean Ave. and extend-
ing to the Southerly line of the right of way of the Los Angeles
Interurban Railway Co. be graded to a sub -grade six inches below
the official line and grade of said street, and then capped with
a crown of earth six inches thick, rolled and tamped to a true
even surface which surface shall be to the official line and grad
of said street, and which official line and grade is established
and provided for by Section 4,;of Ordinance No. 18 of the City of
Newport Beach, on file in the office of the Clerk of said city;
also
That a cement sidewalk and a cement curb be constructed
upon and along both sides of 25th Street in the City of Newport
Beach from the North curb line of Ocean Avenue to the Southerly
line of the right of way of the Los Angeles Interurban Railway
Co. said cement sidewalk and cement curb to be constructed upon
the sidewalk reservation in said 25th Street which sidewalk res-
ervation is established and provided for in Subdivision "E" of
Section 1 of Ordinance 24 of the City of Newport Beach; said
cement sidewalk acid curb to be constructed according to the speci
fications and to the official line and grade for cement sidewalks
and curbs as established and provided for by Subdivisions "A"
"B" and "C" of Section 4:;of Ordinance No. 24 of the City of New-
port Beach, on file in the office of the Clerk of said City.
Be it further resolved that this resolution of intention
shall be published twice in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper

published and circulated in the City of Newport Beach, which
newspaper is hereby designated as the newspaper in which this
resolution shall be pubbshed.
Be it further resolved that all portions of 25th Street in
the City of Newport Beach between the north curb line of Ocean
Ave. and the Southerly line of the right of way of the Los Angeles
Interurban Railway Company which has already been graded, capped
and rolled and tamped to a true, even surface to the official line
and grade as provided for by Sec. 4 of Ordinance 18 of the City
of Newport Beach is excepted from the operation of this resolu-
tion, and be it further resolved: that all portions of 25th St.
in the City of Newport Beach between the North curb line of Ocean
Ave. and the Southerly line of the right of way of the Los Angeles
Interurban Railway Co., upon and along which a cement sidewalk
and cement curb has already been constructed on the sidewalk res-
ervation according to the specifications and to the official line
and grade provided for sidewalks and curbs by Sec. 1 -4 of Ord-
inance No. 24 of the City of Newport Beach, is excepted from the
operation of this resolution.
The above and foregoing Resolution of Intention No. 21
passed, adopted and approved this 12th day of June, 1911, by the
following vote:
AYES: Trustees. A. N. Smith, C. A. Barton, H. L. Collins, A. S.
Lester, R. J. Stauss
