RE60LUTION NO. 108
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TFUSTEES OF THE CITY OF i'EWPORT
BEACH DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO VACATE,CLOSE UP A D ABANDEN
FOR PUBLIC STREET 'URPOSES A CERTAIN PORTION OF BAY AVENUE
WITHIN THE SAID CITY.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do
resolve as follows:
SECTION ONE.
It is the intention of the Board of Trustees to order that
portion of the public street hereinafter described within the
said Ciy to be closed up, vacated and abandeneddfor public
street purposes; the said portion of said street to be closed
ups vacated and abandened for public purposes is described as
follows, to wit:
All that portion of Bay Avenue within the said City,
beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of Bay
Avenue and the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of
Cypress Street, which point is also the southeasterly corner of
Lot 17,Blcok 2, of a Map of the Balboa Tract, as recorded in
Maps Book 4, page 78, Records of Orange County, California;
thence north 34 degrees, 32 minutes east along the easterly
line of the aforesaid Lot 17 and along the northerly prolongati
of the westerly line of Cypress Street, 18 feet to a point,
which point is the northeasterly corner of the aforesaid Lotl7;
thence south 55 degrees, 28 minutes east, along the northerly
line of Bay Avenue, and along the southerly line of Lot 18,
Block 2 of the af.dresaid Map of the Balboa Bayside Tract, 21.
73 feet to a point; thence south 84 degrees, 54 minutes, 30
seconds west, to the intersection of the northerly line of Bay
Avenue and the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of
Cypress Street and the southeasterly corner of the aforesaid
Lot 17, 28.2?, the place of beginning.

SECTION THREE
The Street Superintendent of the City of Newport Beach is
hereby directed to cause to be conspicueously posted along the
line of said contemplated improvement, at not more than three
hundred feet in distance apart upon said street and not less
than three in all upon said street, notices of the passage of
this resolution, said notcie to be headed, "NOTICE OF PUBLIC
WORK ", in letters net less than one inch in length and stating
the fact of the passage of this resolution, its date and briefly
the work of improvement proposed, being that of vacating the
portion of Bay Avenue herein described, and the said notice
shall refer to this resolution for further particulars; the
said Street Superintendent shall also cause a similar notice to
that herein described, to be published by four successive in-
sertions in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper, printed,
published and circulated in said City of Newport Beach(there
being no daily newspaper so F•rinted, published and circulated
in said City).
SECTION FOUR.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and cause a minute thereof to be recorded in the
minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees at which this
resolution was passed.
