Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach,ae follows: Section One. That the said Board deems it to be required by the public, interest and convenience, and hereby ordere,that the following work to be done, to wit: That all those parts of the following 'described streets or portions of streets 1within the said City be improved as follows, to-wit: That that portion of the roadway of 28th Street inelui ed between a line j14 feet northerly and 14 feet souther - tly of and parallel with the center line of said 24th Street, from a line 10 feet :southwesterly of and parallel with the northeasterly line of Central Avenue :to a line-,80 feet easterly of and paral- lel with the southeasterly line of I.a- layette Avenue; and that that portion jet the roadway of 30th Street included between a line 14 feet northerly and 14 feet southerly of and parallel with the center line of 30th Street, frotd a cline 10 feet southwesterly of and pur f allel with the northwesterly prolongs - Itioa of the northeastern' line of 1'en- !tral Avenue, lying southerly Of said :30th Street to a line 80 feet easteriY of and parallel with the southeasterly line of Lafayette Avenue; and that that portion of the roadway of 31st (Street included between a line 14 feet lnortherly and 14 feet southerly of and .parallel with the center line of 31st Street, from a line 10 feet westerly of ,and parallel with the northerly pro- lougation of the easterly line of Cen. 1 tral Avenue, lying southerly of said 31st Street, to the northwesterly line of Lafayette Avenue, Including these portions of all street and alley inter• sections lying 14 feet northerly and southerly of and parallel with the ceo- ter lines of the hereinbefore mention. ad portions of 28th Street, 30th Street and 31st Street• he graded to • if Section Two. All of the proceedings for the aforesaid improvement and for the issuance 'of said bonds shall be taken under and in accordance with the provisions of an Act of the IRgie. latare of the State of California, known and designated as the "Improve- ment Act of 1911," and all sets amend- atory thereof. Section Six. The City Clerk is hereby.directed to publish a notice inviting proposals for doing said work,and referring to the specifications post- ed and on file,twice in the Newport News,a weekly newspaper,printed, published and circulated in said City (there being no daily or semi- weekly newspaper so printed,published or circulated in said City), and which is hereby designated for that purpose, and he is also directdd to post said notice,with specificatione,conspicuously for five days on or near the council chamber door of said Board of Trustees. The time fixed in said notice for the opening of bids shall be at the hour of eight O'clock P.M. of the 14th. day of July,1919. Section Seven.
