RESOLUTION NO. 113
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH REJECTING BIDS FOR CERTAIN WORK UPON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF
28th,Street, 3(th Street and 31st. Street WITHIN SAID CITY, AND
ORDERING THE CITY CLERK TO READVERTISE FOR PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR
THE PERFOR1+,ANCE OF SAID FORK.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach
did on the 23rd day of June, 1919, duly adoptr a Resolution No.
1C9 ordering certain work to be done upon certain portions of
28th. Street, 3Cth Street and 31st. Street within said City;
AAD WHEREAS, in said Resolution No. 1C9, the City Clerk was
directed to publish a notice inviting proposals for doing said
work, and the time fixed therein for the opening of bids was at
the hour of eight o'clock p.m. of the 14th day of July, 1919;
AND WHEREAS, the City Clerk published said notice inviting
proposals for doing said work, as directed by the Board of Truste
in said Resolution No. 1C9, twice in the Newport News, a weekly
newspaper, pr•ihtedyupublished and circulated in said Ely and
which was designated for that purpose in said Resolution No. 1C9,
and.that in said notice he referred to the specifications posted
and on file, and also did post kd notice, with specifications,
conspicuously for mere than five days onthe bulletin board near
the council chamber door of said Board of Trustees, and that in
said notices published and posted there was contained a statment
sealed bids or proposals for the perfomrar.ce of said work were
invited and that he would receive said bids or proposals at his
office in the City Hall of the City of Newport Beach, which is
at the meeting place of the Board of 'Erustees thereof, up to
eight o'clock p.m. of Monday the 14th day of July, 1919;
AND WHEREAS, bids or proposals for the preformance of said
work were received by the City Clerk of said City, and the Board
of Trustees did in open session, on the loth day of July, 1919,
publicly open, examine and declare all of the sealed bids or
proposals received for doing said work;

NOW THEREFORE, 15E IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of
the City of Newport Beach that it deems it for the public good,
and hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids received for
doing said work described in Resolution No.1C9, passed on the
23rd, day of June, 1919 by the Board of Trustees of said City,
ordering said work , and the City Clerk is hereby directed to
readvertise for proposals or bids for the preformance of the
work as in the first instance. The Time fixed in said notice
for the opening of the bids shall be at the hour of eight o'clock
p.m. of Monday the 4th day of August, 1919•
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution, being
Resolution No. 113 was regularly passed and adopted by the Board
of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, at their regular meeting
thereof held on the 17 day of July, 1919, and that the same was
passed by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, TRUSTEES: J.F. Greeley, J.J. Schmitken. -'.L. Heard
J. C. McCain.
NOES, TRUSTEES: NONE
ABSENT TRUSTEES: L.S. "ilkenson
