TAXABLE THEREIN FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do
resolve and declare as follows:
1st. Resolve that there be and is hereby levied upon all
of the taxable property within the City of Newport 'each, which
is taxable therein for municipal purposes, a tax for the purpose
of raising the necessary money with which to carry on the various
departments of the City of Newport Beach for the current fiscal
year.
2nd. Resolve that the rate per centum of the tax hereinafter
levied and shall be and is hereby fixed at the sum of 100 cents
on each one hundred dollars (6100.00) of value designated for
each fund as-follows:
For the Street Fund 4C cents
For the Salary Fund 20 cents
For the Current Expense Fund 40 cents
Total Tax 'Levy 100 cents.
3rd. Resolve that in addition to all other taxes herein
levied for municipal purposes, there is hereby levied on all
of the taxable property within the City of Newport Beach, a
tax for the purpose of raising the necessary and sufficient
money to pay the annual interest on all issued outstanding and
unpaid municipal bonds of the City of Newport Beach, and also
such part of the principal thereof as shall become due before
the time for fixing the next general tax levy in and for said
City: the rate of the tax hereby levied for said purpose is
fixed at 6C cents on each one hundred dollars of value, and the
same shall be collected at the same time and in the same manner

as all other municipal taxes are collected.
4th. Resolve that in addition to all other taxes herein
levied, there is hereby levied on all the taxable property
within the City of Newport Beach, a tax of 15 cents on each
one hundred dollars for advertising purposes, pursuant to the
provisions of Ordinance No. 144, submitted toy and carried by a
majority of the votes of, all the voters voting at an election
held ofr the purpose of voting for or against said Ordinance
on the 24th day of September, 1918.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed, adopted and
approved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beahh
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of September
19207 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, TRUSTEES: J.P. Greeley, J.J. Schmitken, Art. L. Heard,
Conrad Richter, L.S. Wilkinson.
NOES TRUSTEES: NONE
ABSENT TRUSTEES: NONE
The above and foregoing Resolution No. 134 is approved
by me this 7th, day of September, 1920.
