A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF NFWPORT BEACH ORDERING THE IMPROVERF11T OF OCEAN
BOULEVARD AND CFRTAIN OTHER STREETS, AVFNUES AND
ALLEYS IN TRACT NO. 518 AS PER MAP THEREOF RECORD-
ED IN MISCELLANEOUS MAPS BOOR 17, PAGES 33, 34, 35
AND 36, RECORDS OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, WITH-
IN SAID CITY UNDER THE IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1911 AND
THE AMENDMENTS TO SAID ACT.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1.
That the public interest and convenience require and the Board of
Trustees hereby orders the following work to be done and improvenient to be
made in said City, to -wit:
The grading and construction of concrete pavement, concrete sidewalk,
concrete curb, granite concrete ornamental lighting posts, conduits, wires
and appurtenances for the successful operation of an ornamental lighting
system, a surface of clay and gravel, pipes, hydrants and other appliances
and appurtenances for supplying and distributing domestic water and for
fire protection, and cement pipe sanitary sewers, together rith manholes,
junction chambers, cast iron frames and covers, lampholes, flush tanks and
other appurtenances and otherwise improving portions of Central Avenue,
Plaza Del Norte, Plaza Del Sur, Miramar Drive, Ocean Boulevard, C-Street,
I- Street, L- Street, M- Street, Channel Road and the alleys in Blocks B, C,
D, E, F, G, H, I, J, R, L and 0 as said streets and alleys are laid out and
shown upon a Map of Tract No. 518 as recorded in miscellaneous Maps Hook

1 7, Pages 33, 34, 35 and 36, Records of Orange County, California, all
as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 253, as
adopted by the Board of Trustees of said City on the 10th day of Sept-
ember, 1923, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
For further particulars reference is hereby made to said Resolution of
Intention No. 253 and to the plans, profiles, drawings and cross -sec-
tions on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City and accord-
ing to the specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City, and all of said plans,!profiles, drawings, cross- sections and speci-
fications heretofore approved by said Board of Trustees are incorporated
herein and made a part hereof and reference is hereby made thereto for a
more particular description of said work.
SECTION 2.
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that serial
bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of Twenty -five Dollars
or more remaining unpaid for 20 days after the date of warrant. For a
particular.description of said bonds reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 3e
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that the con-
templated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was in the opinion
of said Board of Trustees of more than local or ordinary public benefit and
the expense of said work and improvement has been made chargeable upon a
district. For a particular description of said district reference is here-
by made to said Resolution -of Intention.
SECTION 4.
That sealed bids for said work shall be received up to 7:30 o'clock

F. M. of the �1 day of October, 1923, at which time said bids will be
publicly opened, examined, and declared by this Board.

The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice inviting sealed
bids for said work with the specifications therefor, conspicuously for
five days, on or near the council chamber door of this Board, and to pub-
lish a like notice referring to the specifications posted, or on file
twice in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in
said City, and hereby designated for that purpose, there being no daily
newspaper in said City.
Passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach this
