RESOLUTION NO. 2 6 `.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING THEIR INTEN-
TION TO ORDER THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN POR-
TIONS OF 36TH STREET AND FINLEY AVENUE WITHIN
SAID CITY UNDFR THE IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1911
AND THE AMENIKIENTS To SAID ACT.
The Board of Trustceu of tho-City of Newport Beach do rc-
solve as follows:
SECTION I.
That the public interost and convcnionco require and it io
the intention of the Board of Trustees of tho City of Newport Beach,
California, to order the construction of granite concrete .ornamental
lighting posts, conduits, wires and appurtcnancee for the succeesful
operation of an ornamental 'street lighting syutem upon the following
portions of streets in said City to -wit:
36th Street from Lake Avenue to Finley Avenue; and Finley
Avenue from 36th Street to Railroad Avenue.
All of the foregoing work and improvement io fully &et forth,
delineated and described on plane, pfofiloe, cross- sectione and de-
tailed drawings No. 288 on file in the office of the City Enginear of
&aid City heretofore a1pprovpd by the Board of Trustees of the City of
Newport Bcach.on the !�C ✓ /J-- day of October, 1923, by Resolution No.
.?(J'and in opecificationu No. 32 adopt®d by Resolution No. 186 of
the Board of Trustees of said City and on,file in the office of the
• City Clerk of said City. Said plans, profilos, cross - sections, detail-
ad drawings and specifications are hereby referred to for the full and

• detailed description of the Laid proposed work and improvement.
• SECTION II. .
That the contemplated work and improvement heroinbeforc men-
tioned is in the opinion of the ciaid Board of Trustees of more than
local or ordinary ,public benefit and the expense of said work and im-
provcment is made chargeable upon the District hereinafter described
and said Board of Trustece; does hereby declare said District to be the
District benefited by said work and improvement and to tc aesesced to
pay the coats and expenses thereof which District is bounded and des -
cribed as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 1, Block 432,
of a Map of Canal Section as recorded in miscellaneous Maps Book 4,
Page 98, Records of Orange County, California; thence northerly in a
direct line to the southeasterly corner of Lot 1; Block 532 of the
aforesaid Map of Canal Section; thence northerly in a direct line to
the northeasterly corner of Lot 11 of the last mentioned Block 532;
thence westerly in a direct line to the northwesterly corner of the
last mentioned Lot 11; thence westerly in a direct line to the most
easterly corner of Lot 11, Block 535 of the aforesaid Map of Canal Soc-
tion; thence northwesterly in a direct line to the most northerly cor-
ner of Lot 10, Block 536 of the aforesaid Map of Canal Section; thence
southeesterly in a direct line to the moat westerly corner of Lot 1,
Block 236 of the aforesaid Map of Canal Section; thence northfesterly
in a direct line to the most northerly corner of Lot 11, Block 137, of
a Map of River Section as recorded in miscellaneous Maps Book 4, Page
25, Records of Orange County, California; thence uouthwecterly in a
• direct line to the most westerly corner of Lot 4 of the last mentioned
• Block 137; thence southeasterly in a direct line to the most southerly

corner of Block 136 of the aforesaid Map of River Section; thence
&outhoastorly in a direct line to the most westerly corner of Lot 7,
Block 135, of a Map of Lake Tract as recorded in miscellaneous Mups
Book 4, Purge 13, Records of Orange County, California; thence south -
csastcrly ire a direct line to the most southerly corner of Lot 7, Block
134 of tho "aforesaid Ylap of Lake Tract; thence northeasterly in a
direct line to the most easterly corner of Lot 8, Block 234 of the
aforesaid Map of Lake Tract; thence easterly in a direct line to the
most southerly corner of Lot 4, Block 334 of the aforesaid Map of Canal
Section;, thence northeasterly in a direct line to the most easterly
corner of the last mentioned Lot 4; thence southeasterly in a direct
line to the place of beginning except therefrom any portioi}s of any
lands forming v.ny part.of any public Street or alloy.
The above description is .general only. A plat or map of said
District No. 289 adopted by Resolution No. 2&"J— of the Board of Tructoca
of said City indicating by a boundary line the extent of the territory
included in the proposed District is on file in the "office of the City
Clork. Reference is hereby mL�de to said plat or map for further full
and complete description of the said acoeoF;ment District. The said map
or plat ao on file shall govern for all details as to the extent of the
said aeseesment district.
SECTION III.
Notice is hereby given that on —' the 1Z4day of
1923, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. inthe Council Chamber of the
City Hall of *the o6id City of Newport Beach, any and all persons having
any objections to the proposed work or improvement or to the extent of
the district, or both, may appear before the said Board of Truptees and
r.how cause why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in
accordance with this resolution.

ed:and of general circulation in the City of NoTport Beach, is hereby
do.signated as the newspaper in which thi& Rocoluticn of Intention *b €11
be published, and for the publication of all other Resolutions, notices,
orders or determinations required to be, published in connection with the

proceeding® for the improvements herein described and the City Clerk of
said City iu heroby directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be
published by two ink�ertionc in uaid newspaper in the manner and form ro-
quired.by law. The Board of Trustees does not deem it _ advisable that the
