A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF NT-7PORT BEACH AtIARDING THE CONTRACT
FOR CERTAIN *CORK ON CERTAIN PORTInNS OF COAST
BOULEVARD ";ITHIN SAID CITY.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Bench do
resolve as follows:
SECTION _I_
That this Board herebir finds and declares that A%rry

bidder for the ror'k hereinafter described, and this Board hereby

to-wit:
For Granite concrete ornamental lighting posts, complete,
with concrete bases, each . . . $MOO
For Junction Boxes, complete, each
For 3/4" Diam. sheridized iron conduit, with one .
No. 6 lead covered cable installed on
the inside thereof, complete, per lineal ft. w3r�j
All other bids for said work are hereby rejected, and
the City Clerk is hereby directed to return to the respective
bidders all checks accompanying said rejected bids.

The cork hereinbefore referred to is described as
That granite concrete ornamental lighting posts, con-
duits, wires and appurtenances for the successful operation of
an ornamental street lighting system be constructed upon certain
portions of Coast Boulevard from the northr-esterly curb line of
38th Street to a line, which line is five (5) feet norths. ^eet-
erly of and parallel with the northresterly line of that part
of 45th Street lying southresterly of Coast Boulevard, all as
more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 331,

of said City. For further particulars, reference is hereby made
to said Resolution of Intention No. 331, and to the plans, pro-
files, drawings and cross - sections on file in the office of the
City Engineer of said City, and according to the specifications
on file in the office of the City Clerk of said.City, and all
of said plans, profiles, drawings, cross - sections and specifica-
tions heretofore approved by said Board of Trustees are in-
corporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby
made thereto for a more particular description of said work.
SECTION II.
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared
that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of
twenty -five (25.00) Dollars, or more, remaining unpaid for tr.renty
(20) days after the date of warrant. For a particular descrip-
tion of said bonds, reference is hereby made to said Resolution
of Intention.
SECTION III
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared
that the contemplated cork and improvement hereinbefore mentioned
was, in the opinion of the said Board of Trustees, of more than
local or ordinary public benefit,. and the expense of said ^ork
and improvement has been made chargeable upon a district. For
a particular description of said district, reference is hereby
made to said Resolution of Intention..
SECTION Iy.
The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish
a notice of this award twice in the Newport News, a semi- r?eekly
newspaper printed, published and. circulated in said City, and
hereby designated for that purpose, (there being no daily ner's-
paper published in said City).
