RESOLUTION NO. 337
A Resolution by the city of Newport Beach, a municipal
corporation, incorporated under the laws of the State of
California, by its Board of Trustees, as the legislative
branch thereof, determining that the public interest and
also the Public necessity demands the completion by the
city of Newport Beach of the municipal water works of
said city, and that the same is necessary and convenient
to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of the
municipality, the cost of which will be too great to be
paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of
the city of Newport Beach.
The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach, as
the legislative branch thereof, does hereby determine and resolve
as follows:
Section 1.
The public interest and also the public necessity demands
the completion by the city of Newport Beach of the municipal water
works thereof.
The completion of said municipal water works shall consist
of the acquisition by the city of Newport Beach of additional
water bearing land upon which to drill wells for the production of
water, rights of way on which to construct and maintain pipelines
for conveying water, a reservoir site upon which to construct and
maintain a reservoir for the storage ofwater, also the acquisition
of pumps, engines, pipe, maohinery, apparatus, appliances, and all
other necessary property with which to construct, and the construc-
tion by the city of Newport Beach of water wells, pumping plants,
storage reservoir, and pipelines for the production, storage,
and conveyance of water for th6 extinguishment of fire,the flushing
of public sewers, the cleansing of public streets, and all other
municipal purposes of the city of Newport Beach, and She for the
domestic use of the inhabitants thereof.

Section 2.
The completion of the municipal water works of the city
of Newport Beach is necessary and oongenient to carry out the
objects, purposes and powers of the oity of Newport Beach, and in
order to furnish and provide a constant and adequate supply of
fresh and wholesome water to the city of Newport Beach for all
municipal purposes, and to the inhabitants thereof for domestic
uses.
Section 3.
The cost of the completion by the city of Newport Beach
of the municipal water works of said city is estimated to be the
sum of n (� Q, ^ , and which sum will be too great tobe

paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of the city of
Newport Beach.
The above and foregoing Resolution No. 337 of the city
of Newport Beach was, at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees
thereof,held on the 4ph day of July, 1925s passed by the vote of
two- thirds and more of all the members of said Board of Trustees
as follows:

The above and foregoing Resolution No. 337 having been
passed by the vote of two- thirds of all the members of the Board
of Trustees of the city of Newport Beaoh,is signed and approved by
