A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING THE CONTRACT
FOR CERTAIN WORK ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
AVENUE AND CERTAIN OTHER STREETS AND ALLEYS
WITHIN SAID CITY.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do
resolve as follows:
SECTION I.
That this Board hereby finds and declards that

bidder for the work hereinafter described, and this Board hereby
awards the contract for said work to the said / /clyo pog%j 4nol

For 59 cement concrete pavement, including grading,
per square foot
For 80 cement concrete pavement, including grading,
per square foot
For 611 clay and gravel surface, including grading,
per square foot
For cement concrete sidewalk, including grading,
per square foot
For cement concrete curb, Type A, complete, per
lineal foot
For cement concrete curb, Type B, complete, per
lineal foot
For cement concrete curb, Type C, complete, per
lineal foot
For cement concrete curb, Type D, complete, per
lineal foot
For cement-concrete curb, Type E, complete, per
lineal foot
For cement concrete curb, Type F, complete, per
lineal foot

All other bids for said work are hereby rejected, and the
City Clerk is hereby directed to return to the respective bidders
all checks accompanying said rejected bids.
The work hereinbefore referred to is described as follows:
The grading and construction of cement concrete pavement,
cement concrete curbs; cement concrete sidewalks and otherwise
improving portions of Central Avenue, C- Street, D- Street, E- Street,
F- Street, G- Street, H- Street, I- Street, J- Street and K- Street, and
the grading and surfacing with clay and gravel of certain alleys,
and the construction of concrete ornamental lighting posts, con -

duits, wires and appurtenances for the successful operation of an
ornamental lighting system along portions of Central Avenue, in
said City, all as more particularly described in Resolution of
Intention No. 348, as adopted by the Hoard of Trustees of said City
on the 2nd day of November, 1925, and on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City. For further particulars, reference is
hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 348, and to the

tions on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all
of said plans, profiles, drawings, cross - sections and specifications

heretofore approved by said Board of Trustees are incorporated

herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto
for a more particular description of said work.
SECTION II.
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared
that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of
twenty -five (25) dollars, or more,remaining unpaid for twenty (20)
days after the date of warrant. For a particular description of
said bonds, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Inten-
tion.
SECTION III.
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared
that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned
was, in the opinion of the said Board of Trustees, of more than
local or ordinary public benefit and the expense of said work and
Improvement has been made chargeable upon a district. For a
particular description of said district, reference is hereby made
to said Resolution of Intention.
SECTION Iy.
The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish a
notice of this award twice in the Newport News, a semi - weekly.
newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City, and
hereby designated for that purpose, (there being no daily newspaper
published in said City).
