A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Newport Beach awarding the contracts
for the construction of an East Jetty,the
repair of the present West Jetty and construc-
tion of revetments and extension to the present
f west jetty under the $500,000 harbor bond issue.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do
resolve as follows;
That this Board hereby finds and A*A}fl :declares
that the Hatser Construction Company is.the lowest,regular,
responsible bidder for the work tasirw m,r kaxx,of repairing the
present West Jetty,constructing revetments and constructing an
extension to the present west jetty , and this Board hereby awards
the contract for said work to the said Hauser Construction Company
at the prices named in its Proposal Nod! Four (4),to wit;
( &)For approximately 619000 tons of stone in place
for repair of West Jetty and construction of
revetments,per ton ........ ..........................$1.70
(b) For approximately 63,000 tons of stoics in place
for the extension to the present west jetty,per ton.$1.70
Provided,however,that if this Board elects not to construct
the extension to the present west jetty,this Board hereby awards
the contract for the work of repairing the present west jetty and
the construction of revetments to the said Hauser Construction
Company at the prices named in its Proposal No. Three (3),to wit;
For stone in place,per ton .. ..........................$1.90
This Board hereby further finds and declares that Lee R. Weber
is the lowest,regular,responsible bidder for the work of constructing
the East Jetty of reinforced concrete interlocking sheet piling and the
placing of approximately 2500 tons of stone for rip- rap,and this Board
herebyevards. the contract for said work to the said Lee R. Weber at
the prices named in his proposal No.69to wit;
(a) For 20 -foot piling,per lin.ft.of jetty complete ..... $89.00
(b) For 22 foot piling,per lin.ft.of jetty complete..... 96.40
(c) For 26 foot piling,per lin.ft.of jetty complete..... 109.80

(d)For 30 foot piling per lin.ft. of jetty complete ......... $123.60
(e)For 34 foot piling per lin.ft.of jetty complete ........... 138.00
(f) For approximately 2500 tons of stone,in place
for riprap, etc. per ton ......... ...........................3.30
All other bids for said work are hereby rejected.and the
City Clerk is hereby directed to return to the respective bidders
all checks accompanying said rejected bids.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and duly adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd. day of
May.1927 and that is was passed by the follow /ding vote,to wit:
