The City Council of the City of NeTraor t Beach do
resolve as follows:
SECTION I.
That the public interest and convenience require the
°,ork hereinafter described to be done, and therefore the said
City Council hereby order the following r�ork to be done and im-
provement to be made in said City, to —r^it:
That a reinforced concrete bridge together -ith ce.Lent
concrete abutments, cement concrete foundations, reinforced con-
crete columns, cement concrete malls, cement concrete approaches,
cement concrete pipe drains and inlets and other appurtenances
thereto, including grading, be constructed in, along and upon the
southeasterly side of Goldenrod Avenue from a line, which line is
220 feet southwesterly of and parallel with the southwesterly line
of First Avenue, across Pacific Drive to a line, which line is
220 feet northeasterly of and parallel -ith the northeasterly line
of Seaviel- Avenue, all as more particularly described in Resolu-
tion of Intention No. 450, as adopted by the City Council of said
City on the 14th day.of February, 1928, and on file in the office
of the City Clerk of scid City. ^or further particulams, reference
is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 450, and to
the plans, profiles, drawings and cross - sections on file in the
office of the City Engineer of said City, and according to the
specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City,
and all of said plans, profiles, drawings, oross- sections and
specifications heretofore approved by said City Council are

incorporated herein end made a part hereof, and reference is
Nhereby made thereto for a more particular description of said -ork.
SECTION II.
The said City Council also determined and declared
that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of
twenty -five (25.00) Dollars, or more, remainint unpaid for thirty
(30) days after the date of warrant. For a particular description
of said bonds, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of
Intention.
SECTION III.
Tne said City Council also determined and declared
that the contemplated rork and improvement hereinbefore mentioned
:ras, in the opinion of the said Council, of more taen local or
ordinary public benefit and the expense of said work and improve-
ment has been made chargeable upon a district. For a particular
description of said district, reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention.
SECTIOV IV.
That sealed bids ,rd said -ork shall be received up to
7;30 o'clock, P. ". of the 2:5:tls day of zw� 1928, et -hick time
said bids sill be publicly opened, examined and declared by this
Council.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to host a notice
inviting sealed bids for said ?sork tith the specifications therefor,
conspicuously for five days, on or near the Council Chamber door
of this Council, and to publish a like notice referrin6 to the
specifications posted, or on file, twice in the Newport News, a
meekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City,
and hereby designated for that purpose, (there being no daily
newspaper in said City).
