A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, GRANTING TO FOSTER AND
KLEISER COMPANY, A CERTAIN FRANCHISE OR LICENSE
TO ERECT, CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A BILL BOARD
FOR CERTAIN SPECIFIED ADVERTISING ON CITY OWNED
PROPERTY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY
AND THE CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CON-
TRACT IN THE NAME OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH.
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions the City Attorney
of the City of Newport Beach, has this day prepared a contract
and presented the same for consideration to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach, in which said contract the city
of Newport Beach grants to Foster and Kleiser Company a certain
franchise or license to erect, construct and maintain a bill bo
on certain described city property, said license or franchise
being granted upon the express terms, conditions and covenants
of said written lease.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said contract
be, and the same is hereby approved as written, by the City Counci
of said City of Newport Beach, and the Mayor of said City and the
City Clerk of said City shall, and they are hereby authorized to
sign the same on behalf of said city.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof, held on the 16th
day of July, 1928, by the foll6wing vote, to —wit:
