A RESOLUTION OVER- RULING PROTESTS IN THE MATTER
OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF MARINE
AVENUE AND PARK AVENUE AND CERTAIN UNNADMD PUBLIC
RIGHTS OF WAY WITHIN THE.CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach did on the 5th day of November, 1928, pass its Resolution
of Intention No. 477, to order the improvement of certain por-
tions of Marine Avenue and Park Avenue and certain unnamed
public rights -of -way within the City of Newport Beach, by the
erection and construction of certain bridges and all improve-
ments and work incidental and appurtenant thereto under and in
pursuance of the Improvement Act of 1911, and the portions
thereof proposed to be improved and the location and character
of said proposed work and improvement being described in said
Resolution of Intention No. 47.7, which is hereby expressly
referred to for further particulars; and
WHEREAS, certain owners of property liable to be
assessed for said work made written protests or objections in
writing and delivered the same to the Clerk not later than the
hour set for hearing such objections; and
WHEREAS, other certain owners.of property liable
to be assessed for said work and improvement made verbal protests
or objections at the time set for the hearing of said protests
and objections; and
WHEREAS, at'the time set for hearing protests and
objections the City Council proceeded to hear the same and all
of said protests or objections, either written or verbal, having
been heard and duly considered and the said City Council having
been required to pass upon the same, it is hereby

RESOLVED., by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach that all of the said protests and objections against said
proposed work and improvement be, and the same are hereb )'over-
ruled and denie d.
RESOLVED, further, that said Council finds that said
protests are not made by the owners of more than one —half (1 /2)
of the area of the property to be assessed for said improvements.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly passed by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
at their regular meeting thereof held on the 26th day of November,
1928, and that the same waspassed by the following vote, to —wit:
