The City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
pursuant to the pra7isions of the Improvement Act of 1911,
and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments to
said acts, do resolve as follows:
SEC'T'ION 1. DESCRIPTION OF WORK.
That the public interest and convenience requires
and that it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach, California, to order the following Mork to
be done, to -wit: That
SEVILLE AVENUE
for its entire length as laid out and shown upon a man of
Tract ,`;948, recorded in Book 30 of Miscellaneous I.Iaps, Pages
6 Cc 7, Records of Orange County, Milifornia, be improved by
certain grading by the construction of certain cement con-
crete curb, cement concrete sidewalk, cement concrete pavement,
cast iron pipe eater mains, gate valve, valve box and cover,
fittings and a ?-,urtenanees, and fire hydrants and appurtenances,
by the installation of certain granite concrete ornamental
lirhting hosts, together with wires, cables, conduit, lamas
•• and other suitable and necessary ap)liances for the nurr)ose of

crater service connection, fittings and appurtenances, by the
Installation of certain granite concrete ornamental lighting
posts, together with mires, cables, conduit, lamp and other
suitable and necessary appliances for the purpose of lighting
said Serrano Avenue; that

the removal of certain portions of the existing cement concrete
curb and cement concrete sidewalk by the construction of

sewers, brick manholes, cast iron pipe dater mains, gate
• valves, valve boxes and covers, fittings and appurtenances,
by the installation of certain granite concrete ornamental
lighting posts, together with wires, cables, conduit, lamp
and other suitable and necessary appliances for the purpose of
lighting said Central Avenue; that

the center line of said Channel Road and 37.07 feet
southerly of the intersection of the center line of
Seville Avenue with the center line of said Channel Road,
be improved by certain grading, removal of certain portions
of the existing cement concrete curb and cement concrete
sidewalk, by the construction of certain cement concrete
curb, cement concrete sidewalk, cement concrete pavement,
by the installation of certain granite concrete ornamental
lighting posts, together with wires, cables, conduit, .lamp
and other suitable and necessary appliances for the purpose
of lighting said Channel Road.

That the said eontemnlatod work and improvement, in
the opinion of the said City Council, is of more than local or
ordinary public benefit, and sail City Council hereby makes
• the expenses of the said work and improvement chargeable upon a
district, which said district said City Council hereby declwres
to be the district benefitted by the said work and improvement,
and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, and

Beginning at the northwest cornor of Tract No. 948,
as shown on a man recorded in Book 30 of kiscellaneous
• Yaps, Pages 6 and 7. Records of Orange County, Calif-
ornia; running thence west along the south line of
Central Avenue a distance of 10 feet; thence north
70 feet to a point in the north line of said Central
Avenue; thence east and southeasterly along the north
and northeasterly line of sAid Central Avenue, and
southerly along the easterly line of Channel Road to
an intersection with the easterly prolongation of the
center line of the first alley southerly of Seville
Avenue; thence westerly along thosaid easterly pro-
longation and the center line of the last mentioned
alley to a point, which is 10 feet easterly of the
easterly line of ".Mn Street; thence southerly in a
direct line a distance of 15 feet to the beginning ot.

directed to dause this Resolution of Intention to be published by
two insertions do said newspaper in the manner and form required by
law. The City Council do not deem it advisable that theCity Clerk
mail copies of the notice of improvement to owners, or -reputed
owners, and he is not required to mail the same.

The Street Superintendent of said City shall, after
the adoption of said Resolution of Intention, cause to.be con-
spicuously posted along the lines of said contemplated work or
improvement, and along all the open streets within the hereinbefore
described assessment district, notices of the passage of this
Resolution of Intention, in the manner and form required by law.
SECTIOII S. IL PROVELMI ^T ACT:
Except as hereinbefore stated, all the proceedings
for the aforesaid work and improvement shall be had and taken and in
accordance with the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of
the State of California designated as the "Inprovement Act of
191111, approved April 17, 1911, and Amendments thereto.
