RESOLUTION N0. l 43
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, ACCEPTING AND APPROVING A CERTAIN
AGREEMENT MADE AND ENTERED INTO BETWEEN THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AS THE
PARTY OF THE FIRST PART, AND C. H. CURRIE AND F. S.
CURRIE, AS THE PARTIES OF THE SECOND PART, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY
AND THE CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY. TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF AND IN THE NAME OF SAID CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated the /�g
day of April, 1930, by and between the City of Newport Beach, a
Municipal Corporation, of Orange County, California, as the
party of the first part, and C. H. Currie and F. S. Currie, as
parties of the second part, which said agreement has been duly
executed and signed by said C. H. Currie and F. S. Currie; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides among other things
that the said parties of the second part shall furnish all help,
instruments, materials and transportation for the purpose of
conducting and shall conduct a thorough survey and investigation
of the proposed sewage treatment plants, and such ancillary
sewer lines and other work as may be necessary to provide
facilities for the proper disposal of sewage in the City of
Newport Beach, and shall report the result of said investigation
to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach in the manner
set forth in said agreement, and shall receive for said work the
consideration named in said agreement, to —wit: the sum of
$1000.00; and
WHEREAS, said parties of the second part further
agree for the consideration named in said agreement, to super-
vise such sewer improvements as may be ordered by the said City

Council, all as will more fully appear by said agreement; and

WHEREAS; it is for the best interest and advantage of

said City that said agreement be executed by said City, upon
4
terms and conditions in said agreement set forth.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said agreement
6
be approved as written and that the same be signed by the Mayor,
7
of the City of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk of the City of
8
Newport Beach, on behalf of said City of Newport Beach, in
9
duplicate, and that one copy thereof be filed with the Clerk
10
of said City, and the other copy sent forthwith to the parties
11
of the second part:

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was

duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of
15
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 14th
16
day of April, 1930, by the following vote, to —wit:
