RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT
OF ELECTION
WHEREAS, a general municipal, election was held and con-
ducted in the City of Newport Beach, Orange County, California,
on Monday, the 14th day of April, 1930, as required by law; and.
WHEREAS, it,appeare that Notice of said election was duly
and regularly given; that voting precincts were properly es-
tablished; that election officers were appointed and election
supplies were furnished and that in all respects said election
was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat received and
canvassed and the returns thereof made and declared in time,
form and manner as required by the general laws of the State of
California governing elections in cities of the Sixth Class; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City of Newport Beach
met at the Council Chambere of the Board on Monday, the 218t
day of April, 1930, to canvass the returns of said election and
install the newly elected officers, as a result of which the
Board finds that the number of votes cast, the names of the
persons voted for and other matters required by law to be
as hereinafter stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said regular
municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Newport
Beach, County of Orange, State of California, on Monday, the
14th day of April, 1930, in time, form and manner as required
'by law; that there were five (5) voting precincts established
for the purpose of holding said election, consisting of the five
(5) election precincts last established and designated within
said city by the Board of Supervi sore of the County of Orange,
State of California, for the holding of general elections, and
which said County precincts so established were and are designated

as Newport Beach Precincts Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively.
That the whole number of votes cast at said regular
municipal election was 7nS that the names of the persons
voted for, the offices for which they were voted, the number
of votes given in each precinct to each of said persons together
with the whole number of votes which they received in the entire
City of Newport Beach are as follows:

17 election Lloyd Claire was elected to the office of Trustee and
18 Councilman of the City of Newport Beach for the full term of
19 four (4) years; also that A. J. Garfield was elected to the
20 office of Trustee and Councilman of said City of Newport Beach for
21 the full term of four (4) years,
