RESOLUTION NO. to /2,
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, DECLARING THE RESULT OF A SPECIAL
ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON ORDINANCE NO. 380, BEING
AN ORDINANCE-OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY
AND COLLECTION FOR EACH FISCAL YEAR OF A TAR OF THREE
CENTS ($.03), ON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) OF
ASSESSED VALUATION, FOR.TAS PURPOSES: PROVIDING THE
MANNER OF USING SUCH TAR, AND THE TIME OF COLLECTION
THEREOF, AND ORDERING THE SUBMISSION OF THIS ORDINANCE
TO ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, AT A SPECIAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH ON THE 28TH DAY OF MAY, 1930.
WHEREAS, a special municipal election was held and
conducted in the City of Newport Beach on Wednesday, the 28th
day of May, 1930, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified
electors of the City of Newport Beach Ordinance No. 380 of the
City of Newport Beach, and the electors of said City of Newport
Beach were on said day invited to vote for or against said .
Ordinance and the adoption thereof and the form in which said
Ordinance was submitted to said electors was as follows:
Shall Ordinance No. 380, providing
for the levy and collection, for the purpose
of providing and maintaining parks in the City
of Newport Beach, for each fiscal year, of a
tax of three cents ($.03) on each $100.00 of
the assessed valuation of all property in the
City of Newport Beach which is taxable therein
for municipal purposes, be adopted.
Shall Ordinance No. 380, providing
for the levy and collection, for the purpose
of providing and maintaining parks in the City
of Newport Beach, for each fiscal ear, of a
tax of three cents ($.03) on each §100.00 of
the assessed valuation of all property in the
City of Newport Beach which is taxable therein
for municipal purposes, be adopted.

And WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election
was duly and regularly given by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach by publication at least once a..week for a period of
four (4) weeks prior to said election in Newport News, a
printed and published in the City of Newport Beach, which said
notice of election contained a copy of said Ordinance and the
electors of said City of Newport Beach were invited thereby to
vote for or against the same; and
WHEREAS, voting precincts were properly established
and election officers were appointed, and election supplies
furnished, and in all respects said election was held and con-
ducted, and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed, and t
returns thereof made and declared in time, form and manner as
required by the General Laws of the state for holding municipal
elections in City of the sixth class; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of theCity of Newport Beach
met at the Council Chambers of the Board on Monday, the 2nd day
of June, 1930, to canvass the returns of said election and to
declare the result thereof, as a result of which the City Council
finds that the number of votes cast, the proposition voted for,
other matters required by law to be as hereinafter stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS. That said
special municipal election was held and conducted on Wednesday,
the 28th day of May, 1930, in time form and manner as required
by law; that there were five (5) voting precincts estab lished
for the holding of said election, consisting of the five regular
election precincts established for holding general state and
county elections as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; and the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach does hereby find and declare that said
Ordinance No. 380 has been duly adopted by virtue of said vote
and is now effective, and said tax provided for in said proposi-
tion shall be levied and collected and used in the manner pro-
vided for in said Ordinance No. 380 of said City of Newport Beach
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly passed by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of June, 1930, by
