k,HEREAS, pursuant to statute. notice of filing;
list
of unpaid assessments was duly ;iven.in the manner and form required
by law; that the warrant, assessment, and diagram recorded on the
21st day of July, 1930, for the work and improvement made by the
PACIFIC E_-'G1M,, =RING AI'M 0014STRUCTIOII C0Mi'ANY upon that certain
contract awarded to it on the 7th day of April, 1930, on a portion
of Central Avenge within said City, anq that said warrant, assess-
ment and diagram were returned to the Superintendent of Streets
together with 4 written statement of all payments received upon the
said assessment, and after the full expiration of thirty (3p) full
days from the date of said ra runt, said Strect Superintendent duly
made an:t filed with the City Clerk of the said City of Newport Beach a
complete list of all assessments unpaid upon the said assessment,
which list is no+, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
said City, now upon evidence shown this Council determines that the
assessments therein mentioned were then unpaid, the total aggregate
thereof bein, the sum of Three Thousand Mine Hundred Fifty -nine and
35/100 dollars ($3,959.35)•
That assessments numbered 56, 97 and 22 aggregating
the sum of One Hundred Fifty -tiro and 72/100 Dollars ($152.72), and
no others, have since been paid, and that there nor, remains unpaid
the sum of Thirty -eight Hundred Six and 63/100 Dollars (83,_:06.63)
upon the assessments'shown upon the said list other than those herein -
before last noted, as having bcen paid.

Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention
No. 581 of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California,
passed on the 3rd day of March, 1930, for a complete description of

the work herein mentioned and also to the list of unpaid assessments
• filed as above noted, for the assessments unpaid, and
VREREAS, interest persons were notified in the
manner required by law to appear before the City Council of said
City of Newport Beach, California, in the Council Chamber of the City
Ball of the said City, at the hour of seven- thirty (7:30) o'clock p.m.
of Vonday, the 6th day of October, 1930, and shod cause vhy
bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assessments
shown on the Street Superintendent's list, and
THEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form
required by law that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and
bearing interest at the rate of seven per cent (7$) per annum, will
be issued hereunder in the manner proved by the °,Improvement Bond
Act of 1915 °, the last installment of which bonds shall mz�ture nine
(9) years from the 2nd day of July next succeeding; ten (10) months
from their date.
And all interested persons having appeared before this
City Council and having been given full opportunity to show cause
why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assess -
mentsahown on the said list, and all objections presented having
been heard and consid$ned,
ITOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, thFt the City Council
does hereby find an-' determine that no cause-has been shown why
bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid -.ssessmente,
and does hereby overrule all objections thereto and does hereby
direct the issuance of said bonds, an,, further

The said bonds shall be ten in number, knows as Series L
an-i shall be dvtc.d the 6th day of October, 1930, and bear interest
at the rote of seven (7) per cent per annum, and the denominations of
the said bonds and the da tes of the respective maturities thereof
shall be as follor:

The first coupon of interest shall be for the interest from
the 23rd day of August, 1930, to to 2nd day of January, 1932, and
the several coupons of interest thereafter shall be for the semi-
annual interest, and

of the City of Fewport Beach upon the enupons attached to the said
bonds shall be lithographed or printed signature in place of
signature by hand, and
BE IT ALSO .'.ESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the said City
of Nerport Beach, California, be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to deliver forthwith theibonds hereinbefore enumerr.ted to
the PACIFIC COTIPA TY, LTD., assigned for the PACIFIC RUG'sTTEMING AIM
CORSTRUCTIUIi COL-WARY, in satisfaction If the balance due upon its
assessment and warrant'.
