A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH, ACCEPTING AIM APPROVING A CERTAIN AGREEMENT MADE
AND ENTERED INTO BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, A
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, PARTY OF THE FIRST PART, SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, LTD., A CORPORATION, PARTY OF
THE SECOND PART, AND THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TELEPHONE
COMPANY, A CORPORATION, PARTY OF THE THIRD PART AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY, AND THE
CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BE-
HALF OF AND IN THE NAME OF SAID CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH.

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City Of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated the
IZ2� day of October, 1930, by and between the City of Newport
Beach, a municipal corporation, as party of the first part, and
the Southern California Edison Company, Ltd., a corporation, as
party of the second part, and the Southern California Telephone
Company, a corporation, as party of the third part, which said
agreement has been duly executed and signed by the Southern
California Edison Company, Ltd., a corporation, and by the
Southern California Telephone Company, a corporation, by their
respective officers thereunto duly authorized; and
WHEREAS, said agreement grants to the Party of the Second
Part,and the Party of the Third Part, the right and privilege
of using and occupying a certain underground conduit system which
may be available for that purpose, which said underground conduit
system has been installed by said City of Newport Beach, party of
the first part, on a certain tract of land known as Tract No. 907
and which said tract includes "Lido Isle ". That said right and
privilege of using said underground conduit system is granted upon
the terms, conditions, covenants and agreement contained in that
certain agreement heretofore mentioned:,. and

WHEREAS, it is for the best interest and advantage
of said City that said agreement be executed by said City, upon
the terms and conditions in said agreement set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said. agreement be
approved as written and that the same be signed by the Mayor of
the City of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk of the City of
Newport Beach, on behalf of said City of Newport Beach, in
triplicate, and that one copy thereof be filed with the Clerk
of said City, and one copy sent forthwith to the party of the
second part, and the other copy gent. forthwith to the party of
the third part.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 27th day
of October, 1930, by the following vote, to --wit:
