I.5MREAS, there has been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated
the 17th day of November, 1930, by and between the City of
Newport Beach,
a
municipal
corporation, as party of the first
part, and E.
B.
Cubbon,
and C. E. Mc Farland
doing business under the firm name and style of Cubbon &
Mc Farland , as party of the second part, which
said agreement has been duly executed and signed by said party
of the second part; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the said
party of the second part shall.have the exclusive license to load
and unload passengers or patrons going to and from two certain
city owned piers or wharfs to certain stationary fishing barges
owned by party of the second part, upon the conditions and terms
set forth in said agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is for the best interest and advantage
of said city that said agreement be executed by said City, upon
the terms and conditions in said agreement set forth.
N064, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; That said agree-
ment be approved as written and that the same be signed by the
Mayor of the City of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk of said Cit

of Newport Beach, in duplicate, and that one copy thereof be
filed with the Clerk of said city, and the other sent forthwith
to the party of the second part.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof, held on the
day of November, 1930, by the following vote, to —wit:
