RESOLUTION NO. R l 1
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain license or lease
wherein the City-of Newport Beach is referred to as the party
of the first part, and Valdemar Sorenson, is referred to as
.the party of the second part; and
WHEREAS, said license agreement provides that the party
of the first part grants to the party of the second part the
right and privilege of using that certain wharf in the City of
Newport Beach which extends into and over the waters of the
Pacific Ocean from the southerly end of Main Street, at Balboa,
which wharf is used by the public'for the purpose of fishing
therefrom, upon the terms and conditions in said license agree-
ment set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests and benefit of said
City that said license be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
authorized and instructed to execute said license agreement on
behalf of the city of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 5th day of March, 1934, by the following vote, to-wit-
