RESOLUTION NO. &.
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the city of Newport Beach a license agreement by and between
the0ity of Newport Beach in said agreement referred to as the
party of the first part, and George 0. Hiner, in said agreement
referred'to as the party of the second part; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the party of
the first part, being the owner of a certain pier located in the
City of Newport Beach, and which extends into and over the waters
of the Pacific Ocean opposite McFadden Place, grants to the party
of the second part the sole and exclusive right and privilege of
selling.live bait from said pier, upon the conditions and for the
consideration in said agreement mentioned; and
WHEREAS, it is for the best interests of the city of
Newport Beach that said agreement be-executed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor of the
City of Newport Beach and the City Clerk of said city, be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement
on behalf of the city of Newport Beach, and the Clerk of said
city shall obtain the signature of the party of the second part
thereon, and the same shall thereupon become a valid and binding
agreement as between said parties.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolu-
tion was duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the city
of NewpJo�rt Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the J;t,
day of Nevember, 1934, by the following vote, to -wit:
