HomeMy WebLinkAbout932 - Balboa Island ImprovementsRESOLUTION NO. 31, • RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING THE PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CMIENT CONCRETE BULKHEAD AND OTHER WORK AND IMPROVEIIENTS, IN AND AROUND BALBOA ISLAND IN SAID.CITY, AS DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 918. WHEREAS, the City Council did, on the 12th day of November, 1935, adopted.Resolution of Intention No. 918 for the construction of a cement concrete bulkhead and other work and improvement in and around Balboa Island in the City of Newport Beach, California; and WHEREAS; pursuant to Chapter 397 of the Statutes of 1931 of the State of California, it is necessary that the City Council of the City of Newport. The minimum wage paid to all intermediate labor, for which rates ar.e not shown above, shall be not less than 622 per hr. The #nimum wage paid to all unskilled labor, for which rates are not shown above, shall be not less than 56� per hour. - Overtime - one and one -half (1j) times the above rates. Sundays and.holidays (except watchmen and guards) double the above rates. The foregoing schedule of per diem wages is based upon a working day of eight (8) hours.
