RESOLUTION NO.� '3
1 WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions, the City Attorney
2 of the City of Newport Beach, has prepared a contract in which
3 the City of Newport Beach agrees to sell certain excess water
4 of said city to GENERAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION OF CALIFORNIA,
5 upon the conditions, convenants and restrictions in said contract
6 set forth; and
7 WHEREAS, said contract has been duly presented by the
8 City Attorney to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
9 for its acceptance and approval.
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That that certain
11 contract nade and entered into the 1st day of April, 1936, by
12 and between the City of Newport Beach, as the party of the first
13 part, and GENERAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION OF CALIFORNIA, as the
14 party of the second part, wherein and whereby the City of
15 Newport Beach agrees to sell certain of its excess water upon
16 certain conditions, restrictions and limitations to said party
17 of the second part, be and the same is hereby approved as written
18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City Clerk
19 of the City of Newport Beach be authorized and directed to sign
20 said contract on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
