51 WHEREAS, there has been this day presented to the City
6 Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain contract wherein
I
7 the City of Newport Beach is purchasing on the installment plan
8 from Theodore Robins of Newport Beach a certain new 1936 Ford V -8 I
9 Truck for the sum of One Thousand Seven and 62/100 Dollars
10 ($1007.62) complete as per said contract; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of Newport Beach deems that it

12 is for the best interests of said City that said truck be purchased
13 on the installment plan by the payment of the purchase price of
14 said automobile in four monthly payments, without interest.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That it is for the best
16 1 interests and benefit of said City that the City of Newport Beach
17 purchase of and from Theodore Robins a certain new 1936 Ford V -8
18 ITruck, Chassis with closed cab and platform body, dual rear wheels,;
19 32x6 -8ply tires all around, with special cooling, auxiliary rear
20I springs and low speed gear, for the sum of One Thousand Seven and
21 62/100 Dollars ($1007.62) upon the following plan, to -wit: Fifty
22 Dollar ($50.00) trade in value of Reo Truck, and the balance of
23i Nine Hundred Fifty Seven and 60/100 Dollars ($957.60) in four equ
2411installments of Two Hundred Thirty -nine and 40/100 Dollars 0239.
25 leach without interest or carrying charges.
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City Clerk of
27 said City be authorized, directed and instructed to sign said
28 Conditional Sales Contract this day presented to the City Council
29 by the City Attorney of the City of Newport Beach on behalf of said
30 City, and that an executed copy thereof be delivered to Theodore
31 Robins, the seller, and an executed copy be filed in the office of
