RESOLUTION NO. LA.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, GRANT-
ING AN EXTENSION OF TIME TO THE DRAINAGE
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY ON ITS CONTRACT
DATED JANUARY 14TH9 1937.
WHEREAS, the Drainage Construction Company, General
Contractor, has filed a written request for an extension
of time of its contract dated January 14th, 19379 with the
City of Newport Beach for the construction of sewers and
sewage disposal plant, for which the completion date is
Paragraph Thirty - sixth,
August 19, 1937, in accordance with /Page 45 of the Contract
Documents; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that the
date of completion of the contract be extended to September
189 1937; and
WHEREAS, the heavy rains during the months of February
and March delayed the start of construction on the sewage
disposal plant; and
WHEREAS, the Drainage Construction Company, Contractor,
has completed the construction of all sewer mains, sewage
pumping stations and other work; and
WHEREAS, the sewage disposal plant will be completed
in the first part of September, 1937,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That an extension of
thirty (30) days time is hereby granted to the Drainage Con-
struction Company, for completion of all work under its con-
tract dated January 14th, 1937.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, Californiaat a regular adjourned meeting thereof
held on the MON day of , 1937, by the following
