RESOLUTION NO
WHEREAS, a certain Deed - Highway Easement, dated the
day of September, 1938, from the City of Newport Beach,
a Municipal corporation of the State of California, granting,
conveying and dedicating to the State of California, for public
highway upon, over and across all that certain real property
situated in the city of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, and more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
That portion of Lot 1 in Block "S" of Tract No. 323 as per
map recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41, of Miscellaneous
Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County,
included within a strip of land 100 feet wide, being 50
feet wide on each side of the following described center line:
Beginning at a point on a line parallel with and distant
10.00 feet Easterly, measured at right angles, from the center
line of Coast Boulevard, 80 feet wide, as said Coast Boulevard
is shown on said map of Tract No. 323, which point is distant
along said parallel line, S. 150 21' 30" E., 47.92 feet from
the intersection thereof with the Southwesterly prolongation
of the Northwesterly line of Lot 1 in Block "Q" of said Tract
No. 323; thence Southeasterly, along a curve concave North-
easterly, tangent to said parallel line and having a radius
of 2100 feet, through an angle of 430 14t, an arc distance
of 1584.58 feet to the point of tangency of said curve with a
line parallel with and distant 10.00 feet Northeasterly,
measured at right angles; from the said center line of Coast
Boulevard; thence along said parallel line, S. 580 35' 30"
E., 26.23 feet to the intersection thereof with the South-
westerly prolongation of the Northwesterly line of Lot'l in
Block 'IV" of said Tract No. 323.
was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
Easement be granted upon the terms and conditions therein set
forth, and other valuable considerations, including the widening
of Highway No. 101 through that portion of the City of Newport
Beach known as Corona del Mar.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
authorized, directed and instructed to execute saidDeed- Highway
Easement, in the name of and on behalf of the city of Newport
Beach, and that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy
thereof to the State of California, Division of Highways.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and ado p ed by the City Council
of the city of Newport Beach at aon", �egu ar meeting thereof held
on thelIth day of September, 1938, by the following vote, to -wit:
