4 Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain Agreement of Lease
5 dated the Fifth:.ny of December, 1938, wherein the City of Newport
6 Beach is designated as Party of 'the first part, and Lido Isle

to the party of the second part certain harbor frontage and tide-
lands in the City of 'Newport Beach, together with certain uplands
abutting'thereon, for the`,et of �plS,750.00 for a twenty -five
year period, payable at,. -the rate of $750,00 per year, 14 %nds
to be used exclusively for recreational, educational, park arid- F
civic purposes, said lease to oo:wienee as of P.Poember'.Fifth -938,
and to end as of December Fifty} 1963; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems the consideration for said lease is fair, just and adequate'
and that it is for the best interests of said City that said

21 part, and that the-lands therein described be leased..; to said
22 party of the second pert upon the terrors and conditions, ',and for

24 NOTE, THEREFORE, BE IT RE,�iOL9ED: That the Mayor and City
.25 Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby direct

ed, authorized and instructed to execute said Agreement of Lease
27 in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beaoh,:and the
28 City Clerk is instructed to deliver a duly executed copy thereof.
