RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, MARY H. GILSON and ELLEN HUGHES, have this

day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $275.00
4
for Lot 102, Tract 94$, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown
5
on Map recorded in Book 30, page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps,
6
records of Orange County, California; and
7
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price

as and for the purchase price of said lot; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
11
property be sold for the said sum of $275.00; and
12
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
13
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
14
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
16
sold to the said Mary H. Gilson and Ellen Hughes, as joint
17
tenants, for the sum of $275.00, free and clear of all encumbrance
18
subject to tht taxes for the fiscal year 1939 -40 and unpaid
19
impxnvement assessments of record. Also subject to conditions,
20
restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the
21
City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and
22
deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon receip
23
of the consideration above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $27.50 be
25
paid to Gertrude A. Waldron, as and for her commission for the
26
negotiating of the sale of said real property to Mary H. Gilson
27
and Ellen Hughes, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
28
reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broke
29
being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

2 hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular
meeting thereof held on the 25th day of February, 1939 by the
following vote, to -wit:
