RESOLUTION NO. lqq-
WHEREAS; a certain Grant Deed dated the 30th day of January,
1939, from F. D. Aldrich and Olive J. Aldrich, husband and wife,
to the Oity of Newport Beach, a Municipal corporation, granting
to said Oity all that certain real property situated in the City
of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and
more particularly described as follows:
That portion of Lots 2 and 3, in Block "S" of Tract No.
323, as per map recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41 of
Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder
of said Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southwesterly line of Lot
3 distant No. 450 35" W., 30.175 feet from the most south-
erly corner of Lot 3; thence Northeasterly along a line
parallel with the southeasterly line of said Lot 3 to a
point in the northeasterly line of said Lot 3; thence
Northwesterly along the northeasterly line of said Lots
2 and 3, 30 feet; more or less to the most easterly cor-
ner of the land conveyed by Lester Paul Sims et al, to
John Hutchinson Summers et ux, by deed recorded April 3,
1925 in Book 573, Page 118, of Deeds, records of said
County; thence Southwesterly along the southeasterly line
of the land conveyed to said John Hutchinson Summers et
ux to a point in the southwesterly line of said Lot 2;
thence Southeasterly along the southwesterly line of said
Lot 2 and 3, 30.17 feet to the point of beginning.
Subject to reservations, restrictions, assessments and liens
of record.
was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best intere�ts of said City that said
deed be accepted upon the terms and conditions therein set
forth, and other valuable considerations, including the widen-
ing of Highway No. 101 through that portion of the City of
Newport Beach, known as Corona Del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. That said Grant Deed be
accepted by the City of Newport Beach, and thz;t the City Clerk
be instructed to record the same forthwith with the County
Recorder of Orange County, California.
