RESOLUTION NO. 16

2 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
3 City Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain Conditional
4 Sales Contract dated the let day of May, 1939, by and between
5 Theodore Robins, as Seller, and the City of Newport Beach, as
6 Purchaser; and
7 WHEREAS, said contract provides that the Seller sell
8 to the Purchaser one 1939, Ford V8, Standard Fordor Sedan (black)
9 leather upholstery, for the sum of $1034.79, payable as follows:
10 Down payment represented by trade -in, $1937 Ford Standard Sedan,
11 for the sum of $400.00, and the balance payable as follows:
12 June 6, 1939, $275.00, July 4, 1939, $275.00, August 1, 1939,
13 $84.79; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
15 Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said city that
16 said contract be entered into with the said Theodore Robins, and
17 that the purchase price therein set forth is fair and that the
18 terms of said contract are satisfactory.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
20 City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
21 directed, authorized and instructed to execute said Contract in tk
22 name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
23 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
24 Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City
25 Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof
26 held on the 1st day of May, 1939, by the following vote, to-wit-
