RESOLUTION NO. 3
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT FOR EXPENDITURE OF 1/4 CENT GAS
TAX ALLOCATED FOR STREETS OF MAJOR IMPORTANCE.
WHEREAS, the State of California, through its Department of
Public Works, Division of Highways, has presented a memorandum
of agreement in accordance with a project statement submitted
by the City for expenditure of the 1/4 cent gas tax for the
fiscal year 1940 allocated for streets of major importance
other than State highways in the City of Newport Beach, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heard read said agreement in
full and is familiar with the contents thereof, and desires to
approve the same;
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach that said agreement for expenditure of 1/4
cent gas tax allocated for streets of major importance other
than State highways be and the same is hereby approved and the
Mayor and City Clerk are directed to sign the same on behalf of
said City.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular adjourned meeting thereof,
held on the 26th day of June, 1939, bollo i tote, to -wit
