RESOLUTION NO. 1
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain Contract of
Conditional Sale, dated March 4th, 1940, between Theodore Robins
of Newport Beach, as Seller, and the City of Newport Beach, as
Buyer; and
WHEREAS, said Contract provides that the Seller sells to
the Buyer one 1940 Ford, 1 ton express with Cab and 70OX 17
OS 8 ply tires and spare, 85 H. P. Motor No. 18.5587680, 8
for the sum of $8930.70, payable as follows, to —wit: $290.00 upon
execution of contract, $290.00 April 1, 1940, $290.00 May 6th,
1940, and x$60.70 June 3rd, 1940; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
automobile be purchased for the use of said city, upon the terms
and conditions and for the consideration in said contract set
forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execution said Contract
of Conditional Sale in the name of and on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed
copy thereof to the Seller therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoingResolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
