RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, a certain Quitclaim Deed dated the 3rd day of
June, 1940, from the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, a Municipal Corporati�
of the sixth class, to CAROLINE PRINGLE, quitclaiming, releasing
and remising to the said Caroline Pringle, all that certain real
property situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange,)
State of California, and more particularly described as follows:
Parcel 1. Lots One (1) and Two (2) in Block "J"
of Tract No. 323, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 14, pages 40 and 41 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California.
Parcel 2. All those portions of Pacific Drive
(formerly Electric Way) and Marguerite Avenue
as shown on the Map of Tract No. 323, recorded
in Book 14, pages 40 and 41 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California,
abandoned by Resolution of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Newport Beach on January 7th, 1927
described as beginning at the intersection of the
South - easterly line of Larkspur Avenue and the
North - easterly line of Pacific Drive; thence
South 39 038' West along the South - easterly line
of Larkspur Avenue a distance of 25.18 feet to
a point; thence South 57013'45" East along a
line which line is 25 feet South - westerly of
and parallel with the North - easterly line of
Pacific Drive a distance of 218.3.2 feet to a
point; thence Easterly, North - easterly, Northerly
and North - westerly around a circular curve with
• radius of 20.13 feet concave to the North -west,
• distance of 55.26 feet to a point in the South-
westerly line of Coast Boulevard, which South - westerly
line of Coast Boulevard is also the North - easterly
line of Lot Two (2) in Block "J" of said Tract No.
323; thence South - easterly, Southerly, South - westerly,
Westerly and North - westerly along the North - easterly,
Easterly, South - easterly and South - westerly line of
said Lot Two (2) in Block "J" and along the North-
easterly line of Pacific Drive to the point of
beginning.
WHEREAS, the City Council deems that the consideration
offered for said Quitclaim Deed is fair, just and adequate and
not disproportionate to the actual value of the interest which
the City of Newport Beach has in and to said property; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City of Newport
Beach that said Quitclaim deed be executed in favor of Caroline
Pringle, by the Mayor and City Clerk of said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed and authorized to execute said Quitclaim deed on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk is instructed
to deliver the same to Caroline Pringle.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
June 3, 1940 by the following vote, to -wit:
